Psoriasis is an inflammatory of the skin. It is a skin condition which can affect a person’s daily living. Symptons of Pasoriasis include: widespread redness, severe itching, and pain. There is no cure for Psoriasis currently. The treatment are basically short-term and random. That means the treatment can only clear Pasoriasis for only a certain period of time and each patient respond to the treatment differently. Each treatment methodology has its pros and cons and it will take a board-certified dermatologists who have the medical training and experience to determine the most appropriate treatments for each patient.

psoriasis treatment

Generally, Psoriasis treatments fall into 3 categories:
- Topical (applied to the skin) for mild to moderate Psoriasis
- Photo (light, usually ultraviolet, applied to the skin) for moderate to severe Psoriasis
- Systemic (taken orally or by injection or infusion) for moderate, severe or disabling Psoriasis

Recently, a new method called “Doctorfish” (or Garra rufa). They live and breed in outdoor pools of some Turkish spas but now they are pretty popular in the Asian countries like Japan, Taiwan and most recently, Singapore. These fishes feed on the skin of patients with Psoriasis. These fishes are like combfishes and they only consume the dead areas of the skin, leaving the healthy skin to grow. Psoriasis, till now, is still relatively unknown in the research arena. Medical experts and scientist have, in the past 10-20 years, research on this subject.

The key here is to seek immediate doctor’s attention.

Getting an appropriate psoriasis treatment is important if you have this condition. In severe cases, your joints can become inflamed. Additionally, psoriasis is a type of skin inflammation that can disable you and affect your quality of life. Symptoms of psoriasis on the skin include widespread redness, severe itching and pain. To know if you have this condition or not, you will need to seek a skin specialist for a proper diagnosis.

Unfortunately there is no known cure for psoriasis. Most often the short-term treatments available for this disease centre on the use of drugs. Unfortunately, these treatments will only clear up your psoriasis for a short period of time. A natural psoriasis treatment can also be used. Of course, all of these treatments have pros and cons, so it is best to ask your doctor for some help and guidance in getting a suitable psoriasis treatment.

You should know that there are 3 main types of treatment.
1. Topical treatments can be applied to your skin if you have a mild to moderate case of psoriasis.
2. Photo treatments are used if you have a moderate to severe cases of psoriasis. This includes light, usually ultraviolet light, being applied to your skin.
3. Systemic treatments are available if you have a moderate to disabling form of psoriasis. This treatment is taken either orally, by injection or by infusion. One such product is Theraflax.
4. A new alternative psoriasis treatment is with the use of a fish known as “Doctor fish” (or Garra rufa). This is a type of fish that live and breed in outdoor pools of some Turkish spas. You should know that this is not an exact treatment but some patients have reported success with this alternative psoriasis treatment method.

Until the past 10 years, psoriasis remained an under-researched condition. What is known is that researchers have discovered that psoriasis is somewhat genetic, affecting people between 15 and 35 years old. In time, hopefully, with more research and greater understanding, an effective psoriasis treatment or real cure can be found.

Tatia aulopygia is quite a pretty catfish as most of this genus are. The eyes are large with a skin over them and a few non catfish aquarists tend to think that they have cloudy eye’s and it is a disease, but this is normal for the Auchenipteridae family.
The barbels are moderate in length reaching to the end of the dorsal fin and they tend to bend them upwards when looking for food. They can also tuck their barbels alongside their cheeks making them nearly invisible.

Tatia possess a very small adipose fin and a moderately sized ventral and anal. In its native habitat this fish feed on small invertebrates and crustaceans and in the aquarium they will eat anything given such as frozen bloodworm inserted in to their hideaway, catfish tablets, white worm (sparingly) and prawns and shrimp.

They do like their food and you can see them shooting out of their hideouts and swimming in a frenzied manner to try and take all for themselves, especially when you feed them their favourite food, frozen bloodworm.

Although this Synodontis (like most of this genus) gets rather large, reaching up to 8″ (20 cm) when mature, it is an excellent addition to a large community aquarium. The Synodontis Ocellifer are fairly hardy fish and are not difficult to keep in a well maintained environment. The Synodontis Ocellifer Catfish comes from various river systems of Western Africa and is a peaceful bottom scavenger. It is yellowish to brown with many black spots.

A 50 gallon or larger aquarium with stable temperature, and plenty of rocks and plants provides a suitable environment. The Synodontis Ocellifer Catfish is a very peaceful tank member and appreciates having several hiding places.

Synodontis Ocellifer Catfish are omnivores and should be offered sinking catfish pellets, freeze-dried bloodworms and tubifex, and a good quality flake food.

The fish’s habitat is located in Chad, Niger. It is a wide-bodied catfish and is pale in coloration with many black spots. This species is also known as an upside-down catfish, as it will hang in an inverted position. These fish are usually kept singly in aquaria due to their territorial and aggressive nature when they reach maturity, but several can be kept in large, public aquaria.

As a digger, the Synodontis Eupterus Catfish will appreciate a fine sandy bottom with large roots and crevices for hiding places in a tank of 50 gallons or more. Sensitive to nitrates, good water conditions are necessary. It prefers a current in the aquarium. It can be kept as a schooling fish or in a tank with other Synodontis species. The Synodontis Eupterus Catfish may also be maintained with most African Cichlids of similar size.

Synodontis Catfish are omnivores and should be offered sinking catfish pellets, freeze-dried bloodworms and tubifex, plus a good quality flake food.

The guppy prefers a hard water aquarium and can withstand levels of salinity up to 150% that of normal sea water. Guppies are generally peaceful, though nipping behaviour is sometimes exhibited between male guppies or towards other top swimmers like platys and swordtails and occasionally other fish with prominent fins such as angelfish. Guppy breeding by aquarists produces variations in appearance ranging from color consistency to fantails and “spike” swordtails. Selective breeding has created an avid “fancy guppy” collector group, while the “wild” guppy maintains its popularity as one of the hardiest aquarium fish.

Specially designed livebearer birthing tanks, which can be suspended inside the aquarium, are available from aquatic retailers. Well planted tanks that offer a lot of barriers to adult guppies will shelter the young quite well. Java moss, Duckweed (Lemna Minor), and Water Wisteria are all excellent choices.

The Bala shark, Balantiocheilos melanopterus, also known as the tricolor shark, silver shark, or shark minnow, is a fish species of the family Cyprinidae, and has long been considered the sole member of the genus Balantiocheilos. Bala sharks are popular aquarium fish.] These fish are generally peaceful and good companions to many other types of tropical fish. Shrimp should have adequate hiding places to keep them from getting eaten. Bala sharks are widely available in most pet stores, but these fish may grow to a size too large for the home aquarium.

They’re hardy fish that will tolerate temperature changes, pH changes, and other factors to which other fish may be sensitive. The preferable water hardness for this species is soft to medium (5.0-12.0 dGH). Very young Bala sharks are sometimes kept in small aquaria. Hobbyists continue to debate over acceptable minimum tank sizes, but generally recommend at least a 6 foot tank. This fish’s habitat is often destroyed, making these fish rare in the wild
