Description of Peckoltia Vittata

Peckoltia Vittata is a cave spawner and does so in captivity. Although many hobbyists have had their fish spawn in community tanks or spawning tanks, there has not been any widespread aquaculture production of this fish. Most Peckoltia Vittata are still imported from the wild. This is a popular little fish as it has good colour, eats algae, and does not outgrow your aquarium. It mixes well with most fish, but you will find it quickly gets friendlier if you keep three or more of them, although they will tussle against each other a little. It enjoys hiding amongst a decor of bogwood, which is its favourite, and strong plants.
